Purushottam Laxman Deshpande, popularly known as PL Deshpande, was a renowned Marathi writer, humorist, and actor from Maharashtra, India. He was born on November 8, 1919, in Mumbai and passed away on June 12, 2000.
Deshpande was known for his wit, humor, and insightful observations about human behavior and society. He wrote numerous plays, essays, and books in Marathi, many of which are considered classics of Marathi literature.
